Laser Hair Removal and IPL

• Old and common hair removal technology using diode lasers and intense pulsed light
• Only "stamp" mode to operate light shooting to hair follicles, causing gaps and leaving patches of hair untreated
• The light energy is scattered in a wide wavelength which is not precise enough to target all hair follicles in a single pass, requiring more treatments and long hair removal cycles
• Use of heat without 360 cooling, causing pain, redness, rashes, and even burning
• High risk for safety
• Not suitable for dark skin colors or light hair colors
• 6-24 or more treatments required for permanent results

At least 3 treatments are required for permanent results, due to hair growth cycles. LED NIR only works on growing hairs (anagen phase). Not all hairs are growing at the same time (telegenic and catogen phases), so not all hair falls out after a single treatment.

The number of treatments needed depend on your skin color, hair color, and hair thickness. You will achieve fantastic results in as few as 3 treatments if you have brown or black hair and light to medium skin tone. If you have skin and hair that are more similar in color such as blonde hair and light skin or light brown hair and medium to dark skin tone, you will require more than 3 treatments.

A maximum of 9 treatments may be required. Bundled packages are available for a discount on 3 treatments, 6 treatments, or 9 treatments. A single treatment is ideal if you have already had a series of laser hair removal treatments that did not give you permanent or satisfactory results.

You should receive treatments every 30 days until all cycles of hair have been treated and you achieve permanent results (no new hair growth).

Unlike laser hair removal that feels like burning, stinging, or a rubber band snapping your skin, LED NIR is completely painless. A cooling gel is applied to the skin before treatment. The continuous glide of the device on the skin feels warm, as if you were rubbing a flashlight along your skin. The 360 cooling feature built into the device cancels out the heat of the LED NIR light energy.

Because of the continuous glide of the LED NIR device (vs. the laser stamping method), the treatment is ultra fast! The total session time depends on the size of the treatment area. Treatments of small areas take about 5 minutes. Treatments of medium areas take about 10 minutes. Treatments of large areas take about 15 minutes. Treatments of extra large areas take 20-30 minutes.

The treated hair will fall out after 3-14 days. Exfoliation of the treated area will expedite hair fallout. You'll be left with smooth hair-free skin until your next growth cycle. After each additional session, you'll notice a reduction in the number of hairs in the treated area, with hair becoming finer and lighter.

A little preparation is required to get the best results from your treatments.

1. Shave the area the day of treatment, right before your appointment if possible. The device will target the pigment at the root of the hair.
2. Do not wax, tweeze, or bleach hairs in the area to be treated 4 weeks before your treatment. The hair must be present in the follicle to be treated effectively.
3. Arrive to your appointment with the area to be treated clean and free of product - no makeup, deodorant, creams, or lotions. Cleansing wipes will be provided in case you forget.
