Do you have a special event coming up or just looking for that fresh glow? Cold Plasma, sometimes called nonthermal plasma, is one of the newest skin rejuvenation treatments. Cold Plasma uses electricity in conjunction with argon and ozone gas which flow from the device as it's passed across your skin, stimulating cell turn over rate and resurfacing even of your most delicate facial skin. Cold Plasma visibly tightens and brightens the skin. In the hours following treatment, the skin continues to contract. It is truly a game changing new technology as one can achieve resurfacing, lifting and tightening with no surgery, no cauterization and no down time. Best results can be achieved with sessions every other week.
Please see the contraindications below to determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate to receive this treatment. Please look over the website to understand the details of the treatment including procedure, benefits, risks, intended results, subsequent visits and aftercare. If you have a condition that is not listed as a contraindication that you are concerned about or if you have any questions, please submit your inquiry through the contact form.
Plasma is the 4th state of matter. Plasma is a cloud of free negatively charged electrons and positively charged ions. The plasma energy stimulates the fibroblast cells in the epidermis which produce new collagen and elastin in the skin. This advanced procedure revives natural levels of collagen, hyaluronic acid and fibronectin.
Fine lines, uneven skin texture, dull skin, mild hyperpigmentation, dark under eye circles, puffy eye bags, excess sebum/oily skin and active acne. It is ineffective for severe sagging skin or deep set wrinkles. Thermal Plasma should be considered instead for dramatic, long lasting skin tightening and skin tissue firmness.
The feeling experienced as the device glides over the skin can be described as prickly. For delicate areas such as the eyelids or upper lip, or for very sensitive skin, a topical anesthetic is applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment for comfort. Unlike traditional laser, cold plasma treatments are very tolerable, though it varies person to person. Clients who use retinol and drying products such as AHA/BHA will be more sensitive.
Numbing cream is not needed for Cold Plasma treatments. A full face treatment takes 30 minutes. Adding a neck treatment takes an additional 10-15 minutes. Smaller areas can take as little as 5 minutes. Larger or combined treatment areas can take up to an hour. Send and email or text to get a quote for the area(s) you'd like to have treated.
An immediate tightening and brightening will be seen during and after the treatment and continue for 10-14 days.
With a healthy lifestyle and a consistent skincare routine that's right for you, results of a single Cold Plasma treatment will last 2-4 weeks. Unfortunately nothing, not even surgery, will permanently stop the natural aging process of breaking down collagen. Intrinsic and extrinsic factors can contribute to the collagen breakdown causing rapid aging of the skin such as excessive UV exposure, lack of moisture, poor diet, weight loss/gain, stress, drinking alcohol, nicotine usage, drugs and smoking.
Cold Plasma treatments are recommended every 2 to 4 weeks to keep your skin healthy, glowing, even textured and revived with collagen. Thermal Plasma is advised for dramatic, long lasting results.
Immediately after treatment, you may experience redness and could feel like you have a sunburn. This usually lasts about 3 hours. For sensitive skin, it can last up to 24 hours. Unlike thermal plasma, cold plasma does not leave any visible dots (carbon crusts) on the skin. However, for people with dry skin, sometimes a gritty texture may be felt by your fingertips on the skin's surface. This texture may be present for 2-3 days and is completely invisible to the eye. You can apply makeup directly after treatment if you choose. It is very important to follow the after care instructions to alleviate side effects and get the best results.
SPF 50+ should be worn daily to prevent the risk of hyperpigmentation (darker skin) or hypopigmentation (lighter skin).
Subsequent treatments must be separated by 14 days. Receive 20% off when you purchase a treatment package or 3 or more sessions.
Give your skin an extra hydration boost for the next week by applying the aftercare serum 3 times daily. Increase your water intake to speed up healing.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days after your treatment. Always apply SPF50+ anytime you go outside.
No steam rooms, saunas, hot showers or exercise for 24 hours to prevent inflammation.
Avoid irritants including harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, peels and retinoids for 3 days.
